Pretty good wod, the jump and touches killed my calves though. My time in the end was 31:31. Pull-ups were the slow part as I can only do 6 max at a time and after that the max drops.

This Should Not Be For Breakfast
Fun race today. It was pretty cold this morning, I think in the mid 40′s. We got to the site of the race and after a day of steady rain the course looked fun. We checked in and got our packets and then stood next to some heaters until about 5 minutes before race time. We ditched our jackets/pants in the Jeep and went to the start. The organizers clearly wanted this to be a tough race and the first obstacle about 100 meters into the race was a river crossing. It was about waist deep, cold, and filled with large rocks. After that there were a few more obstacles, one highlight being a slip and slide and then another river crossing.
Never have I needed a rest day so badly in my life. My ass and thighs are burning from the past two days and now I have the Mud Dog run tomorrow.

Ahhhhh rest

The past 2 hockey games I have played in I have tried something a little different. Instead of drinking solely water I was interested in a drink that had a moderate amount of sugar in it. Now most people would reach for a common sportsdrink such as Gatorade or Powerade but I knew these were mostly high fructose corn syrup. I remember running a 5k the year before and they passed out some coconut waters post race. I looked a litte more into this option and discovered that it is the clear liquid inside young coconuts (fruits of the coconut palm). As the fruit matures, the coconut water gradually is replaced by the coconut meat and air. A very young coconut has very little meat, and the meat is very tender, almost a gel. Coconut water has long been a popular drink in the tropics, especially in Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, such as Hawaii, and the Caribbean, where it is available fresh, canned or bottled. It is naturally fat-free and low in food energy (16.7 calories or 70 kilojoules per 100 grams).
A good song I love working out to put to movie I love watching. I still do not think there is enough killing though. Video after the break.
